Brittany Cavaco is an American Professional Ballet dancer, Actress and Founder of The Ballet Agency. Her career highlights include dancing with companies such as The Washington Ballet, LA Ballet and English National Ballet artists such as Mariah Carey and brands such as Moschino, H&M, Fuji Film and Capezio. She has a global dance wear line with Só Dança and she is the director of the Steezy Studio Ballet Program.

Professional Career

The Washington Ballet

In 2015 Brittany graduated from SLK Ballet in New York City and received a  contract with The Washington Ballet. Cavaco danced there for 2 seasons under the direction of both Septime Weber and Julie Kent, where she performed at the Kennedy Center, Warner Theatre and The Atlas Performing Arts Center . Whilst with the Washington Ballet, she danced in Septime Weber’s CarmenNutcrackerFluctuating Hemlines and Coppelia as well as Julie Kent and Victor Barbee’s Giselle, Xiomara Reyes’ Verdi, George Balanchine's Serenade, Mimo Miccolis’ Crisis and Ashton’s The Dream.

Ballet Theatre of Maryland

At Ballet Theatre of Maryland, under the direction of Dianna Cuatto, Cavaco was a Demi-Soloist and performed many soloist and principle roles such as Lead Marzipan and Lead Arabian in The Nutcracker, Juliet in Romeo and Juliet, Principle Pas De Deux in Cuatto's Blue Duet, Belle in Beauty and the Beast, Tatiana and Oberon's Fairy in a Mid Summer Nights Dream and a Soloist on Cuatto's Convergence.

English National Ballet

In 2019 she was invited to dance with English National Ballet to perform in Christopher Wheeldon’s Cinderella at Royal Albert Hall as a Guest Artist . She was scheduled to return the following year to guest in Derek Dean’s Swan Lake but the performances have been indefinitely postponed due to the Covid- 19 Pandemic.

Los Angeles Ballet

In 2019 Brittany also joined the Los Angeles Ballet as a Corps De Ballet Dancer. Since 2020 their shows have also been put on indefinite hold due to the Covid-19 Pandemic.

Brittany also performs as an international guest artist. She has guested in the US, Mexico, England and France.

Steezy Studio

In 2020 it was announced that Brittany Cavaco would become the director of the Steezy Studio Ballet Program. Steezy Studio is the biggest virtual dance teaching program in the world and is in over 100 countries worldwide. Brittany created the curriculum for the Intro to Ballet program and she currently has over 60 classes available to take. It was released globally in April of 2021. Campaigns

Outside of performing, Cavaco has starred in campaigns for brands such as H&M, Só Dança, Capezio, Makeup Forever, Fuji Film, Polaroid, Daniel Wellington, Hotel Lutetia Paris, Norwegian Airlines, Adobe, Marisa Perry Atelier, No Ka 'Oi, Enterprise, Davids Bridal, Athleta and more.

She has also done international tourism campaigns for The Hong Kong Tourism Board (2018) and The city of Megève, France(2018, 2019, 2020). In 2016 her Fuji Film Campaign with photographer Omar Z. Robles was a national commercial and a billboard in Times Square for two months. She also had an additional video billboard in Times Square for her 2019 H&M Campaign.

In 2020 her campaigns and commercials for Parisian hotels: Hotel Lutetia and Cour des Vosges, were released worldwide. 

From 2015, Cavaco has been known as @TheBallerina on social media where she showcases her life as a dancer. She has a combined following of over 600,000 followers on Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and Youtube. Cavaco has stated that she "hopes to share ballet with the world and wants to expose people to ballet who normally would not get to see it".

FILM

In 2018 Brittany danced in the Emmy Winning Commercial, District of Joy, choreographed by Septime Webere.

In 2018 Cavaco starred in the short film, Until Midnight which was filmed by Zen Filmworks and captured in Paris.

In 2020 Brittany starred in the Wolf 1984 global commercial.

PILATES

In the fall of 2016 Brittany received her Pilates reformer teaching certification. She teaches all levels and currently is taking private clients in her home studio.
